Prisma Mania

I recently started coloring with my Prisma colored pencils, I was quite intimidated at first I had bought a set of 72 awhile ago. I had colored a few stamped images was not too impressed so I had put them away. One lazy afternoon I watched some videos on blending. I came a cross one where the guy was using turpentine I was blown away! the colors came to life in a soft vivid magical way. I was hooked purchased some at my local Art supply store rushed home to color. I have fallen in love.

I also found that mineral spirits works as well. The turpentine was a little overpowering odor wise, so made sure there was decent ventilation. As the weeks went by I was improving and decided I needed the 150 set. Arriving at my door step it was almost like Christmas. The pencils purchased individually run anywhere 1.50 to 3.99 .Pencils are much more affordable less than a 1.00  when I purchased the 150 set for 130.00 on Amazon . My only complaint is they did not come with a blender pencil which also blends nicely great for smaller areas, I purchased a set of two blender local at a craft store for 6.99 . I know this is quite a investment,so I;m glad I bought the small set first I have used a few down the end. so It;s great to know I have back up set. I found that Canson mixed media paper worked best for me. Well friends time to color, Much Love Linda
